Executive Summary

What is WE1A?

WE1A, Inc. is a mission‑driven nonprofit organization that has delivered structured empowerment programming within correctional institutions since 2014. Through sustained frontline facilitation and direct engagement with justice‑involved women, the organization has refined a trauma‑informed, accountability‑based model designed to address the underlying drivers of recidivism, instability, and unsuccessful reentry.

Founded by a leader with direct field experience and more than a decade of institutional facilitation, WE1A’s programming reflects practical application within correctional environments and is designed to promote emotional regulation, behavioral accountability, and reentry readiness among participating women.

01

Formalized Growth Phase

WE1A is now entering a formalized growth phase, prioritizing the expansion of contract‑based institutional services as a stable earned‑income foundation. Through its Foundational Regional Contract Strategy, the organization partners with correctional facilities to deliver structured empowerment cohorts aligned with institutional goals related to behavioral stabilization, workforce readiness, and reduced recidivism risk.

02

Diversified Revenue Model

Operating as a 509(a)(2) public charity, WE1A sustains its work through a diversified revenue model that includes program service contracts, compensated partnerships, grants, and charitable contributions. This structure supports long‑term financial resilience while reducing reliance on unpredictable funding cycles.

03

Divinity House Support Services

As institutional partnerships mature and revenue stabilizes, WE1A will activate Divinity House Support Services, a planned non‑clinical transitional housing program designed to address one of the most significant predictors of recidivism: housing instability. Divinity House will provide structured, accountability‑based housing that supports compliance, employment retention, and long‑term independence for women transitioning from incarceration.
